Oh forgot. The style is a dome, which as far as I know is typical Italian. The design was inspired by "Your Brick Oven, Building it and Baking in it" By Russel Jeavon. He also runs a pizza restaurant called Russell's Pizza in McLaren Vale. I highly recommend it if your in town but be sure to book. It's only open Friday and Saturday and very popular.
Normally I try to use it once a week. I've been on holiday (over your way in the Grampians actually) so not sa much recently. I've got 6 days off from monday so I plan to bake a big batch of bread and do some other stuff. I'm also going to put down an ale brew (I'm a whole grain brewer as well). I love yeast, there's no rushing it. Plenty of time for relaxing!
It's finished, actually about 2 years old. It's a 900mm dome party oven. It's a little bit small and has no work spaces around it which is a pain. I want to build a 1200 with decent thermal mass and a chimney and some benches, hence I joined this forum.

The oven is finished now. Have a look.

Finally got around to uploading some photos of my old oven. I've pored the slab and laid abou 100 bricks for the new one. More to follow.
